By Car
Type Smythen Farm Cottages into Google Maps - Do not come via the postcode - you’ll go 5 minutes further down the Sterridge Valley.
You're coming to - Smythen Farm Cottages, Sterridge Valley, Berrynarbor, Ilfracombe, Devon - EX34 9TB (but don’t trust the postcode alone) before you run out of postcode, there is good signage to Smythen Farm Cottages itself.
So if you're satnav drops you in a random country lane, you'll need to turn around, and come back up the hill a while. As the hill gets super steep and then flattens out, we are on your left.
Pull into the gravelled car park, and we'll come out to meet you.
As above, if you do get lost, give us a call on 01822 25 90 01, and we'll guide you in.
By Train & Cab
Tiverton Parkway Station is a mainline train station accessible from anywhere in the UK, on the mainline between London Paddington and Plymouth. You want to get there for 5pm to share the taxi
The train leaves Paddington around 3pm and will get you into Tiverton at around 5pm.
About half the participants will come via this route, and we offer a taxi share option to facilitate this.
It is over an hour’s journey, so if you need to arrive after 5pm, the taxi can be around £100 on your own
Arrival - Hopefully you have arranged a train to Tiverton Parkway station for around 5pm on the first day, to enable the hour cab ride to us. Our driver can take 8 - with Luggage, and he can arrange overflow drivers.
Departure - He'll drop you back in Tiverton Parkway Train Station for around 10.30am on the final day, so you can arrange your return train for around then.
It takes about an hour, and costs £30 each way to tiverton parkway station.
Exeter Airport
If you need to fly into Exeter, then our taxi driver will collect you from the airport around 5pm.
This will cost £40 to and from the venue, which takes around an hour.
If you get to the airport really early, then you have the option of getting a cab or train from there to Tiverton Parkway - to join the remainder of those coming to us by public transport - it is around a 20 mins away. Or you can elect to jump in a cab all the way to us - around 80-90 mins, and costing about £100.
Delays
If your travel is delayed for some reason, please let us know on the day by leaving us a message on 01822 25 90 01, and we will see if another alternative can be provided.
Also - please note that the arrival time is after 5pm. We all come together to begin our introductions around 7.30pm, so there is no great pressure to arrive too early, other than to catch the connecting taxi shares.
Thanks, and see you soon.
